Prof. Dr. Hans Maier, a longtime bio-pharma executive, is the Chief Executive Officer of the German Heart Center Foundation. He is the Vice-Chairman of German Heart Center Charité and a member of the Supervisory Board of Charité. He also chairs the Board of Trustees at Fraunhofer Institute for Digital Medicine MEVIS and is a Professor of International Strategic Management at Berlin School of Economics.

Dr. Ina Czyborra ist seit 2023 Berlins Senatorin für Wissenschaft, Gesundheit und Pflege. Sie ist seit 2011 Mitglied des Abgeordnetenhauses von Berlin. Als Abgeordnete war sie von 2011 bis 2016 zunächst frauenpolitische Sprecherin und ab 2016 Sprecherin für Wissenschaft beziehungsweise seit 2021 Sprecherin für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Denkmalschutz. Von 2018 – 2024 war sie stellvertretende Landesvorsitzende der SPD Berlin.

Prof. Dr. med. Felix Berger has been Director of one of Europe’s leading and most successful centers for congenital heart disease and pediatric cardiology since 2004. Until the end of 2022, he held this position jointly at the German Heart Center Berlin (a public law foundation) and at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Following the merger of cardiovascular medicine at both institutions, the two clinics were unified into a single department: the Clinic for Congenital Heart Disease and Pediatric Cardiology at the German Heart Center of the Charité. His clinical and scientific expertise focuses on interventional cardiology and perioperative intensive care medicine. In addition to his responsibilities as Clinic Director, Prof. Berger serves on an honorary basis as a member of the Board of Trustees of the German Heart Center Foundation.
